Meet our Next Gen Volunteers

Reka Taskai

Reka is a a recent MA graduate in Economics and Communications with a major in International Tourism. She has travelled to many places around the world, and it was this interest in travel, that prompted her to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism and Hotel Management at the Budapest Business School graduating in 2011. In January 2012, after completing one semester of her master studies, she became the assistant of the Master in International Tourism at the University of Lugano, Switzerland. This work experience allowed her to improve her online and offline marketing skills. Between September 2013 and March 2014, she also participated in the CREATETALENT programme, which was a great possibility for her to gain insight into the tourism industry. Now, she aims to help with CREATETALENT's online promotion so that other industry peers can benefit from this valuable project.

Karin Althaus

I am currently about to finish my master studies in International Tourism at the Università della Svizzera italiana in Lugano and hence am at the moment in this very exciting, but also stressful phase of planning my after-graduation-life and getting started in the corporate world. In this context, I was and still am grateful to participate in the CREATETALENT program and count on my mentor’s support and advice. Every single discussion with him is a little self-assessment journey, broadens my understanding of the business travel industry a bit more, gives me a lot of food for thought and takes away many fears regarding my career. My experience as a mentee has been undoubtedly an extremely positive and inspiring one and as unfortunately corporate practice is not taught at universities, I actually wish every student such a knowledgeable and encouraging mentor. This is what CREATETALENT is about and I am more than happy to support this mission. Within my volunteer role for CREATETALENT I support new mentees to make the most out of their relationship with their mentor as fruitful as possible.
